Dr. Alok Sharma

Dr. Alok Sharma is currently working as Professor and Head at Department of Pharmacognsoy, ISF College of Pharmacy, Punjab. He has total 15.6 years of industrial and research experience and worked in Dabur India Limited as Senior Scientist, R&D. He did his Doctorate from N. B. R. I. (CSIR) and Manipal University.

He did his Post doctorate from Institute of personalized Medicine (Med X Research Centre), Shanghai Jio Tong University, China where he has worked on computational approach of herbal medicine and Chinese medicines, drug combinations, in vivo and in vitro techniques etc.

Dr. Sharma has worked on various projects on herbal medicines funded by different agencies. He has developed in house method of dietary fiber in real juices and the same was published. He has also worked on the project antibiotic in honey. His focused research areas are translation approach of herbal drugs, computational application, and label claim of herbal and food material and standardization of the herbal drug. He has prepared a HPLC and HPTLC monograph which contain more than 3oo herbal products. He has published one patent (Indian) and two patents have been filled. He has filled two patents from China.

He is the life time member of many associations such as Indian Pharmaceutical Association, APTI, Indian Pharmacognosy society, Society of Ethnopharmacology, Pharmacovigilance society of India.

He has a vast experience of 11 years in teaching and research. Mr. Sharma has 55 research publications to his credit in various peer-reviewed national and international journals of repute. He is a life member of APTI. Mr. Sharma worked at various responsible positions like coordination of NIRF, ranking filing (at ISF College of Pharmacy and received 17th Rank in 2018 and 21st Rank in 2017), Coordinator of NAAC- Steering Committee – NAAC application filing and inspection handled at ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga (Granted A Grade, NAAC Accreditation). Organized 22 Major events include training program, conferences, seminars, workshop at a various level as Coordinator, and Organizing Secretary. Mr. Sharma has participated in more than 42 seminars, conferences, and faculty development programs organized at National and International level. Dr. Shamsher Singh

Dr. Shamsher Singh is presently working as Associate Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology, I.S.F. College of Pharmacy, Moga.  He did his pharmaceutical education M Pharm. and Ph.D from I.S.F College of Pharmacy, Moga affiliated from I.K.G. Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Punjab, India.  He is contributing dedicatedly towards Pharmaceutical Education and Research from last number of years.

Dr. Singh is a prolific writer with more than 25 Publications in various reputed peer-reviewed journals to his credit. Besides, this he has contribution of 7 International book chapters related to experimental animal models in Springer Nature and 1 book. He has guided more than 22 students in UG projects, 4 Pharmacy doctoral (Pharm.D) students (Post graduate), 8 M.Pharm (Pharmacology) students in the area of neurological disorders like Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Alzheimer’s disease, Traumatic brain Injury and Epilepsy.

He is a widely travelled and shared his experience through more than 7 invited Talks as prestigious forums in India and also presented his research work in Malaysia, Vancouver (Canada) and Japan and received more than 5 International grants from movement disorder society (MDS), International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) and Department of Science and Technology- Science and Engineering Research Board (DST-SERB).

Achievements:Dr Charan Singh joined Department of Pharmaceutics, ISF College of Pharmacy in Feb, 2019. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU) of Rohtak, Haryana in 2009 and his MPharm and PhD from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulation) in 2011 and 2016, respectively. In 2010-11, he had been a Vice Chair, American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS)-NIPER Student Chapter. As a graduate student in the laboratory of Prof Sarasija Suresh, Dr Charan Singh developed phospholipid-based carrier systems for oral and inhalation delivery of AntiTB drugs. From 2016 – 2018, he trained as a DST-SERB funded National-Postdoc Fellow with Prof Bhoop in the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Then, in Apr 2018, had been awarded with an internationally renowned and a prestigious International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) Fellowship to work as a Postdoc Fellow at The University of Queensland, Australia for his proposed project on drug repurposing/repositioning in the area of mesoporous silica nanoparticles.

He isamong 1 of the 4 recipients of this internationally acclaimed fellowship from Asia and Pacific countries. He is also 1 of the 9 international awardees of IBRO Fellowship two times as an international delegate among Asia and Pacific countries.He is among 1 of the 43 recipients of IBRO-SfN International Travel Grant for attending Annual Meeting of Society for Neuroscience held in Washington DC, USA. Moreover, he is also recipient of other awards and prizes at the national and international level. Recently, he has been appointed as Bentham Ambassador by Bentham Science, an international science, technology, and medical (STM) publisher.

Currently, he guiding seven MPharm students in the area of drug delivery science and technology. He has around two dozen of publications in terms of research, review and book chapters in international journals/books of high repute in his credit. The research interest of Dr Charan Singh revolves around the lipid/phospholipid-based delivery systems and silica nanoparticlesto safe and effective drug delivery systems capable of achieving therapeutic effects in in vitro-in vivo models and, ultimately, in humans.

Dr. Vikram Deep Monga

Dr. Vikram Deep Monga is working as a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of this institute.  He did his M. Pharm, Ph.D., from a highly prestigious research institute of National importance in India named as “National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research” (NIPER) Mohali. He has completed his Master of Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry. He has received prestigious ‘Young Scientist Award’ during his Ph.D. for the proposal submitted under “SERC Fast Track Proposals for Young Scientists Scheme” as Principal Investigator from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi. After completion of his Ph.D. work, he joined as Postdoctoral Research Associate at Chicago College of Pharmacy, Midwestern University, IL, USA, where he worked on design and synthesis of peptides/functionalized amino acids as neuroprotective agents. He has more than ten years of experience in teaching and research. He has published 21 research papers in referred international journals, 2 in National journals and four filed patents. He has handled various research projects and supervised dissertation work of 22 master students. He is also guiding the dissertation/research work of Ph.D. students. He is the recipient of various national/international awards including prestigious Endeavour Research Fellowship by Australian Government. He is a lifetime member of Indian Peptide Society. Dr.Sukhbir Kaur is M. Pharm., Ph.D. with experience of more than 19 years in academics, administration and in research. Presently she is working as Professor, Deptt. of Quality Assurance, ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga, Punjab, India. Along with teaching and research, she is a co-ordinator of student teacher guardian scheme of the college. She has worked as Associate Professor and Departmental head (2005-2016) at CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Shahpur, Jalandhar, Punjab. She has supervised 20 M. Pharmstudents and 50 students at undergraduate level on various research projects. Dr.Sukhbir has more than 30 publications in National and International Journals of repute.
