"Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE)" is an innovative programme with long term foresight, sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The objective of INSPIRE is to communicate the excitements of creative pursuit of science by attracting young talent towards science at an early age and thus build the required critical human resource pool for strengthening and expanding the Science & Technology system and R&D base. Our college has successfully completed five days of INSPIRE camp sponsored by DST from Sept.26th – 30th 2015 for the meritorious students of medical and non-medical streams from government schools from different districts around Moga. During these five days, various eminent speakers delivered their lectures for guiding and inspiring the students and became their great pathfinder. The event was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. Jagattaran Das, Vice President, Chemistry Research, Panacea Biotech. Mr. Punit Jain CMD, Cosmas Research Lab Ltd. Dr. Baldev Singh, DEO, Moga; Mr. Rajiv Kumar, Cosmas Research Lab; S. Nishaan Singh, DSS Moga; Shri Praveen Garg, Chairman; Er. Janesh Garg, Secretary; Dr. P. D. Juyal, Director (R&D); Dr. Ashish Baldi, Principal; and chief coordinator of the event Dr. R. K. Narang were also present. Speaking as chief guest of the inauguration programme Er. Pawan Kumar from DST (GOI) said conduct of events based on science studies in the past few years had been encouraging upcoming generation to opt for science and related courses. Shri Praveen Garg, Chairman; thanked DST, GOI for having conceptualized such as unique scheme which is going to help achieve self-reliance in the area of indigenization in years to come in the area of R&D and technology development. On the last day, Er. Pawan Kumar, DST, New Delhi, (GOI); S. Nishaan Singh, District Supervisor; Shri Praveen Garg, Chairman; Er. Janesh Garg, Secretary; ISFCP and other dignitaries distributed certificates and prizes to all students during the valedictory function. All participants and their teachers greatly appreciated the program and thanked the organizers for such a wonderful event.
